Sublimation design is a specialized digital creation process where artwork is printed onto transfer paper using formulation inks, then permanently fused into a material (usually polyester fabric or polymer-coated surfaces) using heat and pressure. Unlike traditional screen printing or vinyl transfers that sit on top of the fabric, sublimation ink turns into a gas when heated and embeds directly into the fibers.
